Connecting Dubai's Apple Developers

Swift Dubai is the premier meetup community for engineers, designers, and hobbyists building for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS in the Middle East.

Our Backstory

Dubai is a thriving tech hub, home to some of the largest mobile application companies in the Middle East—ranging from massive ride-hailing services and fintech startups to government innovation labs. Yet, platform-specific engineering hubs remained fragmented.

In 2026, Swift Dubai was founded to close this gap. We wanted to build a dedicated, high-quality community space where developers could share deep-dive Apple framework knowledge, talk about Swift compiler warnings, and establish valuable connections without the noise of generic tech meetups.

We believe in high-quality technical content, supporting first-time speakers, raising the standard of local engineering, and fostering inclusive, welcoming developer spaces.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an admission fee for Swift Dubai?+

Swift Dubai is a community-run, non-profit meetup. Developer gatherings, workshops, and study groups do not charge any admission fees, though RSVPs are required due to seating capacity constraints. We rely on the support of local venue and community partners.

Who is this meetup for?+

Anyone interested in Apple platform development! This includes iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS developers, designer enthusiasts, product managers, students, and engineers working in cross-platform frameworks (like React Native/Flutter) who want to learn more about native APIs.

How often do you meet?+

We aim to host meetups once a month in various tech locations across Dubai, primarily at tech hubs like Dubai Internet City, DIFC, and local corporate headquarters.

How can I apply to speak?+

We love new speakers! You can submit a talk proposal using the CFP form on our Speakers page. We support both full technical presentations (20-25 mins) and quick lightning talks (5-10 mins). If it's your first time speaking, our team will gladly mentor you and help refine your slides!

Can my company sponsor or host an event?+

Absolutely! We are always looking for venue hosts (offices with seating and a projector) and community partners. In return, we highlight your brand on our website, social media, and give you an opening slot to present your company or post open job positions.
